I have had these guardians for like 10 years and never painted them, i wanted some practice with my airbrush too. So i used the airbrush to do all the blue on these guardians, then went in and did the gems and details andhelmets by brush. Huge time saver and overall they dont look half bad. Lemme know what you think, this technique vs old... this technique
Sorry for the lack of posts lately! I've been busy. Been working on restoring these old falcons and fire prism(pictured) to glory. I got a new Badger Airbrush, the Krome model and i have been getting used to it so no fancy tricks with it yet , im still trying to find it a better place than my floor lol. So i delayed myself on those some but put them aside to start working on some Eldar scouts and warp spirders i have set aside. Maybe after that ill paint up something random that isnt Eldar but im just painting what i have lol. Oh also...
I played some Warhammer 40k for like the first time in 10 years. I lost but it was fun and i learned alot. I also downloaded battlescribe. Fantastic, time saving app, it is a little work to hook it up with the correct data files it requires but once you do you can make an army list in next to no time, and modify it easier too.
Spent a couple of days on these 9 guys. Wish I had the Phoenix Lord Fuegan to do with them but again I'm happy how they turned out. Not the same take as Games workshops paint scheme. Cannot wait for my new airbrush to get here! I'll be posting some new painting gear in a day or 2 hopefully! Think I'm on to Eldar farseer and warlocks....build up a big eldar package while I'm killing time.
Spent all day on this guy. Eldar Phoenix Lord Asurmen. I've had him half painted for years, time to finish it! I had to make his banner from paper. He turned out better than expected!
Just finished this squad of Warhammer 40,000 Striking Scorpion figures. Complete with the exarch Kalindras. The models in the squad are all metal, some of them are 13-14 years old, all freshly painted, they are for sale.
Just finished the Eldar Kalindras, Striking Scorpion Exarch Warhammer 40,000 figure. I'm happy with how it turned out. I'm loving my new brushes and paint assortment. I worked a lot more with adding layers of shade to as many things as I could and used solid highlighting instead of drybrushing. I liked it. Starting work on a squad of scorpions to accompany this guy. Hope you like him. I will sell him as a set with these scorpions once they are done.
